Before you use the Reader Comments feature on the novel synopses pages, please read the following terms of use:

The Reader Comments feature is only for making comments about each novel by Lindsey Davis, if you wish to comment on anything else regarding this web site or Lindsey Davis, please use the contact form.

Use of the Reader Comments feature is freely granted to visitors providing that no abuse of the system is attempted. An abuse of the system is considered to be when other visitors are inhibited from enjoying the site. This includes the following activities:

• Spamming, advertising or off-topic comments
• Insulting behaviour or comments to other visitors and/or Lindsey Davis
• Defamatory and/or libelous comments to other visitors and/or Lindsey Davis
• Inappropriate, foul or obscene language
• Any comments that display, incite or condone hatred and discrimination based on race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or age.
• Any comments that incite, promote or condone violence of any nature
• Any attempt to impersonate and post comments as another individual
• Any attempt to undermine the system

FalcoPhiles reserves the right to add to this list at any time. FalcoPhiles also reserves the right to remove any comments it feels violate these terms and to withdraw the service without warning from users who abuse the system.

Please Note: Do not expect a response to questions or queries posted to Reader Comments. This is not a bulletin board. If you have a specific question, please use the Contact Form.

When visitors add comments their IP address is logged. This IP address will not be visible to other visitors and is only used for dealing with abuses of the system. After the first infringement the offenders IP log is noted. If the abuse persists, then the abuser will be blocked from adding further comments.

FalcoPhiles reserves the right to remove this feature completely at any time without prior warning or notice.

In summary: behave towards others as you wish them to behave towards you. Remember this is a family site, and while FalcoPhiles supports free-speech it does not support anything that causes or supports harm to others. Please restrict comments to the novels only, this feature is not a message or discussion forum. Also, if you have a criticism to make about any of the novels, there is no need to be insulting or abusive about it, just saying "This novel stinks" doesn't help or inform anybody, try to explain what it is you dislike about the novel instead.
